2011-2012 Recipient of the Yamaha/CMS In-Residence Fellowship
The ensemble DuoInteraktiv is a new music ensemble that is dedicated to performing and creating musical works that fuse the worlds of traditional acoustical instruments, electroacoustic principles and computer science into a single entity. This collaboration between computer operator and music theorist Reiner Krämer and flutist Patricia Surman was formed with the goal of bringing the little-performed works for flute and computer to an audience at-large. The duo will presents interactive flute and computer music concerts with commentary that create artistic experiences that uses music to bring concepts of physics and mathematics through computer technology to life for all audiences.
